Drishyangan
Drishyangan is a contemporary exhibition hall composed of interconnected gallery pavilions and courtyards. Inspired by traditional Bengali spatial patterns, the project creates a sequence of light-filled exhibition spaces where art, architecture, and landscape come together to shape an immersive cultural experience.
Concept
A Journey Through Spaces of Viewing
The design is conceived as a sequence of interconnected gallery volumes and courtyards, where exhibition becomes a journey of discovery rather than a singular destination. Simple brick pavilions are arranged around open courts, creating a balanced composition of solid and void.
The courtyards introduce light, landscape, and moments of pause between exhibitions, while the layered circulation encourages exploration and reflection. Inspired by traditional Bengali compounds, Drishyangan reinterprets the relationship between architecture and open space to create an immersive cultural environment where art and community converge.
